White people look mostly the same too.

There isn't really that much of a difference between average Canadian and Australian in terms of appearance. I mean, they might have different levels of tan. But if you don't know the specifics, you wouldn't differentiate a Belorussian from a Basque, or a Castilian from a Frisian.

Some ethnic groups have blonde or light brown hair, and that helps to determine to what nation they belong to, but not that much. Like, the people of Scandinavia tend to have blond hair and fair skin, but it's not exclusive to them. My classmate has light blond hair, very pale skin and blue eyes - and he looks just a like a person from Scandinavian countries, but he's an ethnic Slav. And I'm am too (mostly), and I'm an almost complete opposite.

So, white people look mostly the same, but there are some things that might help to differentiate them. And I'm more than certain that it's the deal with Asian people too, just some folks aren't interested in that.
