i would say the power of anime and friendship tends to be the other option to the power of love and fanservice plot armor but who knows lol. to be fair even if i ship them I'm curious myself what they see in each other: sure with Sarah one could more or less think in the misterious supernatural dude that gives you a hand when you need it even if he's a pervert, plus looks (wink) like her idol even if she doesn't realize it. but i wonder why Jareth is so obsessed with a then 15y/o girl who trespassed his home to retrieve her brother. sure she's gorgeous but that's too much to obsess over someone for years, maybe the challenge? like as a monarch everyone doing to his will but then someone is like " f#ck you you don't boss me around bye"
