Black-eyed children
Black-eyed children or black-eyed kids are an urban legend about supposed paranormal creatures that resemble children between the ages of 6 and 16, with pale skin and black eyes they are reportedly seen hitchhiking or panhandling or are encountered on doorsteps of residential homes. Tales of black-eyed children have existed since the 1950s also having ties to the men in black and are said to sometimes give the affect of radiation poisoning to those who come in contact with them. Original sightings are from Texas and Oregon but
the most famous account was from a man named Brian Bethel who One night leaving his apartment to go to the local shopping centre, parked next to a movie theatre when two boys, aged somewhere between 10-14, knocked on his driver's side window, they both wore pull-over hoodies and the tallest of the two began to talk to him. Immediately the feeling of fear gripped Bethel but he couldn’t tell why, rolling down his window the taller boy smiled and explained the two wanted to see a movie, but had forgotten their money and needed a ride home to get it. Something definitely felt wrong, the boy was too confident acting as if he was required to let them in the car. hesitating to answer the second boy eyed him nervously with a mixture of confusion and guilt, Both boys seemed a bit surprised that he had not agreed immediately, the taller boy began assuring again that they just wanted to go to their house. sure something was wrong now Bethel asked what movie they were going to see, the taller boy answered quickly but looking back at the theatre he realised that the last showing of that movie had started an hour ago, the silent boy was looking increasingly nervous now and the taller boy started talking soothingly, assuring Bethel that they couldn't get in his car unless he let them and that they would just go to their mother's house and then the boys would be gone before he knew it. Bethel realised his hand was on the door's lock and that he had started to open it, jerking it away violently he looked back up to try and explain his action but in the moment he had pulled his hand away from the door he had broken eye contact with the boys for the first time, now when he looked back he saw what he had failed to notice to this point, the eyes of both boys were just coal black orbs with no irises or pupils! The silent boy had a horrified look on his face, the look on his own face had given away his discovery. The taller boy now clearly angry continued to ask Bethel, screaming to let them in! That was enough for Bethel slamming the car in reverse he tore backwards out of the parking lot, looking back he saw the boys were gone, the sidewalk near the theatre deserted.

Spring Heeled Jack
Spring Heeled Jack is a demon from Victorian England who terrorised the people of London in the 1800s, It is not certain if Jack was a man or beast, witnesses described him having long, sharp fingernails almost like claws and crazed eyes that glowed red as he attacked. Whenever someone tried to catch him he would easily escape, running swiftly down crowded alleys, jumping over fences, and disappearing into the night as though he were a ghost. As the tale of him persisted his attributes became more and more demonic, reports beginning to describe him with horns and a pointed goatee, that he could leap over rooftops and that he could breathe fire. The first sighting of jack was by a businessman walking home after work, passing the cemetery a cloaked figure emerged from the darkness and leaped over the high gates landing softly in the lane, the man ran home as fast as his legs could carry him. Few believed his story until a few months later when a young woman was attacked on her way home from work, a dark figure emerged from an alleyway and grabbed the girl, she began to scream hysterically causing a number of people to come to her aid but the figure retreated into the darkness and could not be found despite strident attempts to track him down. Sightings became more frequent as the man/demon continued attacking citizens, jumping in front of carriages and ringing door bells (no I’m not joking about that last one) until even the Lord Mayor of London made a public letter relating Jack’s deeds and ordered his police force to track down the villain offering a reward for anyone who could assist in the capture. The tabloids went mad with the goulash reports as his tale reached fever pitch but by the 1880s Spring Heeled Jack was eclipsed by a far more terrifying monster, Jack the Ripper. For all the terror Jack actually did little harm, aside from the reports of shredded clothes and fits of hysteria. Many blamed the attacks on  an Irish nobleman, the Marquis of Waterford a.k.a. ‘The Mad Marquis’, known for his willingness to do anything if someone would bet that he wouldn’t and thinking it funny to jump out at random travellers to scare them. Whether man or beast, Spring Heeled Jack was never caught but some sightings have began to pop up again recently around London, so you might want to be careful next time you head out into those dark streets…

The Bunyip
The Bunyip is an aquatic creature from Aboriginal legends, it’s Habitat is far flung with sightings of it reported all over the Australian continent, although it is mostly associated with swamps. It has been described as both ferocious predator and a gentle herbivore. Descriptions of the Bunyip vary so wildly that many believe it is a nominal catch-all for an assortment of different regional monster, the only thing witnesses seem to agree on is it’s size, large enough to be a man-eater. the word Bunyip means “devil” or “evil spirit” in the Aboriginal language although some describe him more as a benevolent protector of Australia’s wildlife still, He has been accused of killing several Aborigine people, usually by “hugging them to death. Many theory’s have been put forward for what the strange water beast could be naming the Diprotodon, a giant marsupial which has been extinct in Australia for over 46,000 years believing the Aboriginal people have a cultural memory of when the beast still lived though others believe Elephant seals or leopard seals somehow finding their way inland could give an explanation. Many bones that have been found has also been attributed to the bunyip a skull even being put on display in the Sydney museum until it was mysteriously stolen.

Thanks for the llama :happybounce:

I knew a llama once. At least I thought I knew him. I mean, how well can anyone really know anyone, much less a llama. With their air of mystery and thinly veiled contempt. It’s hard. But I digress.
His name was Kevin. But for reasons I will never understand, he would only ever answer to Albert. Identity issues aside, things started out okay. The usual introductory sniffing and sneezing went well, despite his allergies, but then things started going downhill during the ritual licking phase of the pleasantries. We pushed through. And had it not been for the spitting, we might have even been able to make it work, but alas, after just 3 seconds of bittersweet brotherhood, we finally decided to part ways. It’s kind of sad, when you think about it. Spitting seems like such an innocent thing to fight over, but he was pretty adamant that I should stop and that was just never going to happen. We might have overcome that issue, but Kevin, like all llamas, was very competitive. First came the stench competitions. Then it was belching contests. And lastly, a painstaking count to see which one was hairier. You can clearly see why our relationship was doomed. The poor fellow was a bit of a sore loser.
So he snuck out, taking with him a failed friendship, an obliviously optimistic dread of the future, and my sixth favorite toothbrush. Now that he is gone, I can honestly say, it's for the best. He was too much of a chick magnet anyway and who needs that drama? :shakefist:

Full disclaimer, as Kevin’s official biographer, a position of which he blackmailed me into (don’t ask), I’ve been instructed to inform you about his ongoing series. The journey starts here with The Kevin Chronicles - Chapter 1, and this gallery contains the rest. You should check it out.

*End of cue card*

And don't worry, they're pretty short.
No pressure though, only if you want.

Thank you for choosing AbsurdAir, your captain for this flight is KaidokJ. I have no license, I’m considered legally blind and I’m easily distrac… Wait, what was I talking about…
But not to fear. There’s a good chance we’ll never make our destination, but since this whole flight metaphor is just a weak attempt at a humorous anecdote, I don’t think that’s going to be a problem. Ah damn, I just shattered the illusion by crashing through the 4th wall.

Anyway, thanks for the watch. :happybounce:
I’m sure you regret your choice by now, considering this madness is basically what you signed up for, but since all tickets are non-refundable, welcome to Crazytown. Quarantine measures come into effect upon arrival. :psychotic:
On a more serious note, here’s basically the run down. Posting regularly (fingers crossed), free funny stories in almost all fav replies, and an intro to Kevin the Llama in the Llama Badge reply. Also, if you haven’t already heard, I’ve been designated Kevin Llamason’s official biographer, so you can check out what he’s been up to in The Kevin Chronicles. (Unfortunately “The Kevin Chronicles” are currently on hiatus, while Kevin gets a handle on his pinecone addiction. In the meantime I hope to experiment with a new format in the near future, so keep an eye out for that)
So that’s about it. Thanks again for flying AbsurdAir, and I hope you enjoy the ride.
