Backstory for ~almondacres idea:
It starts with Rarity going out to Ponyville to run some errands. While she's gone, Spike has an idea. He's going to try sewing a blanket for Rarity with the image of the heart-shaped rubi (you know the one) on it. He's seen Rarity use the sewing machine plenty of times before so he thinks, how hard can it be? Well, just check what Rarity found when she was back home...
