Have you gotten tired of classifications that change depending on the person? Sick of people saying, "Oh, this work is this, not that."? Are you fed up with trying to meet someone else's standards? Well, welcome to Physica-Crafters.

I, myself, have gotten bored with all of that. I'm starting a new, open, simple category- Physica.

Physica is any artisan craft you can make, that has a story attached. The story can be fiction, fantasy, something that actually happened in your life that inspired the piece. Tell us why: Why is your piece the way it is, what is it, what does it do, why is is special?

All artisan crafts and all stories are welcome!

Please note, crafts without stories will not be accepted. There are lots of groups just for crafts, but this one is for crafts with a story.

Hello, folks! I would like to offer my apologies to everyone in this group. I've been dealing with some personal issues, and was away from dA for a rather long while. To those whose contributions have expired, I added them back in, myself.

I don't mean to neglect you all. Life has become tricky lately.

I realize that self-promotion can often be considered uncouth, but considering that part of my personal issues are financial, I'm going to do this anyway.

I'm trying very hard to get my life in order. Part of that order is getting my teeth fixed while I have no real income, because if I had an income, I'd likely not be able to afford it even considering the based-on-income program I'm already in. Since I haven't been able to afford to go to the dentist since I was a little kid, this likely means 4 or 5 visits, at $50 a go, to get everything done that I need.

As I said before, getting a job would put me in a different bracket and likely leave me unable to afford it again.

SO! I'm offering card readings for $5, to be delivered via email or Note, or over Skype if you prefer to watch it done. I can accept payments through Paypal, or send an invoice if you have a credit card/gift card but no Paypal account. If you're interested, please note me!

Also, if you get a reading from me and find it satisfactory, I would appreciate any help in spreading the word. I'm currently running a promotion- if any satisfied customer brings me a new customer, they get a free reading to be used another day. :D

To the kind members of this group who stick around, sharing your stories and your incredible artwork, thank you so much. I apologize for not currently being a good leader, but I hope to remedy this soon.

September 3rd's feature will be VISUAL LITERATURE.  Submit pieces, old or new, with a depiction a form of literature in a visual way. you can imagine.  Calligraphy, words on the picture, letters making the image, any way of making the words a visual part of the piece.  It can be literature (This may be more challenging than you think), a craft, digital or traditional, mixed media, photography, whatever..  Submit to this poll.  If you don't have anything feel free to submit work created by another; it can be a nice surprise to find your work featured.

Has the group died?  A lot of my submitted work has expired.

Sorry about that! I sort of stopped existing for about a month. Not kaput, I've just been dealing with health things lately and forgot to check in like I should. If you resubmit, I'll get to work! :D

No problem, it's always wonderful to trip over a storytelling crafter I haven't met before. :D

This might be too much of a headache, but with so many submissions, you might want to include two more categories "longer fiction" and "longer fact". This would be for writing that is more than two paragraphs long.

Writing a short story to go with your piece is much different than writing a few sentences about the fantasy story that inspired you to make it, and it would help people find the (rarer) longer stories.
