Looks like you've made good use of a fine location. Nice shot mate.

Yeah! two and a half hours total spent on the beach until my two beautiful Canadian snowbirds succumbed to the damp and chill of Puget Sound :-)

In a way the bad weather helped. Otherwise we would have had a devil of a time with gawkers.

A fantastic concept and beautiful image. Would have preferred the model not to be looking at the camera though. That way she would have remained (to my eyes) part of the sculpture that is the roots. Instead she is now more literally "a model sitting atop some roots". (Hm, I wonder if that'll make sense to anyone...)

I see your point. It takes it from the realm of fine art to artistic nude, but for me her expression and penetrating gaze works to create a feeling being found out by them. As if you were that poor unfortunate Achteon who was discovered by the Goddess Artemis watching her and her ladies bathing. We all know what happened to him... [link]

A complicated symmetry ... it recalled me lessons on crystallography I got at the university, we had a lot symmetry excercise then ;-)
