This is a very interesting group.

I'm sure, there are some rules, but I didn't find any. (Okay, I didn't find my glasses either, so maybe I overlooked... *sigh*) How many submissions per day/week/century are allowed into which folders? I looked at your TGTD folder and tried to figure out what content you want to see here, but I'm not sure I got everything right.

Help please?

This is a very interesting and complex question. Rule of thumb is one submission per month to the folder of the current year. (As the submissions are less frequent in a year we experimentally raised this number to 2 submissions per month but this is not official yet.) Unfortunately some times ago WIX changed the admin area and it is a real trouble to reach and almost impossible to manage the folder and submission settings because they are constantly out of screen...

Same goes to group rules. It was on the front top and now even I couldn't find it... There are many things that we have to figure out about the new look that has been changed recently without notifications. We're working on it.
There is one other folder that is open to submit your own works, called CAUTION ONLY for the members of The Link System. The works have to have special shout-outs to other people's work to be accepted, according to The Link System group rules.

The TGTD folder is closed for submissions. The admins move submissions to that folder if they are breaking some minor rules of the group but they are "Too Good To Decline" (hence the name).

Main rules in a nutshell:
Comply DA rules,

No nudity, not even implied

No abusive images

High quality photographs only with EXIF

No stolen images (but you can submit other people's photos clearly stating that they're not yours)

No frames (we take it lightly now because of the variable background settings of the framework)

No intrusive signatures and watermarks (DA watermark means an instant declination)

Be kind, etc...

I wish we could find the manageable settings soon. This situation gives us troubles only.

Heavens, That sounds awfully frustrating... I hope you find satisfying solutions very soon.

Thanks for your extensive answer.

Hmmm.

One submission per month isn't much. The main problem here though is the fact, that I frame all of my photos, albeit not in some bleak black or white, but...

ah, let me show you:

Campsis
Busy changing the Colours

In my opinion, a frame keeps the content of a photo from dispersing in all directions, keeps it centered. Of course the frame must be in matching colors and proportions. Otherwise it would be like serving ketchup to Sachertorte.

And now?

Ehm, ketchup on Sachertorte is almost as bad as on pizza... :D I am kinda convinced!

We originally considered the print as the main destination of a good photo. Will you hang it to your wall? In a decent frame, with a paspartout and all? Most of the times the edited-on frames were neglect this end point as if the pictures were only for screens. We already accepted thin frames for detaching images from DA green background. As selectable backgrounds came in even those frames were hard to fit to every screen. Since then so many things has been changed on DA that we returned to the basic question: how would it fit to a frame?

In these cases you presented the frame has a role to fill, but still don't answer the question: how would it fit to a paspartout and frame?

Nevertheless since different backgrounds we have a relaxed approach and we consider frames individually. For these cases they are within the acceptable range. I say.

As I already wrote you we run an experiment and accept two submissions per month. After we find the way to overcome our problems perhaps we increase this even more—since WIX took DA over, the submissions are scarcer than they were.

2024 Folder is full, will a new one be created?

Oops, I always forget it... Thanks to warning us!
