Yes, I will be at Toronto Fan Expo again this year! When you're done swooning over Nathan Fillion, look for me at booth A30 in Artist Alley. I'll have some new pieces, such as my Mario Still Life, and a few others which are in the works.

On a reasonably unrelated note, I finally got a Tumblr account! Please check it out at I'll be updating it on a regular basis with new illustrations, including some that haven't made their way onto Deviantart yet!
Dude! I got one! This is very exciting to me, and will teach me to leave deviantArt for weeks at a time after posting new art. You guys have no idea how confused I was at the sudden traffic the Figaro Twins piece was receiving, until I actually went to look at the page itself. Thank you alexandrasalas for the DD, and many thanks to everyone for all your comments and favourites!
Fan Expo 2011 was a blast! The four days were really long, but by the end of it, I felt ready for four more. Thanks to everyone who came by the table to buy things, or just to chat. Lauren and I have already booked our table for next year, so I hope to see a lot of you next year!
Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been keeping up with comments, etc. the way I did this summer. Since then, I managed to get myself employed full time at a computer game company, and it's taken me a while to get back to checking deviantart. I'm going to try to catch up with everyone's comments, etc. but know in the meantime that I appreciate it!
I am now officially a starving artist. Having graduated from Sheridan, the next step is getting people to hire me (which is where you come in).

I am now open to doing commissions! Prices start at $40 (plus shipping, if necessary) for a simple digital picture of your choice of subject. The more complicated, obviously, the higher the price. If you want to know how much your envisioned image would cost, just shoot me a note, and I'll give you a quote, no obligations.
Well, I'm back, at least for the present. I disappeared there for about a year, but as I have reason to put some things online, I thought I might as well update this. To the people who have been leaving comments, etc., within the past year: thank you. It's a pretty nice thing to return to.

I don't plan to devote a lot of time to deviantART, even now, but there is new art up.

Since I last updated, I've been accepted into, and started, the BAA Illustration program at Sheridan college. One step closer to being an illustrator!
Some of you may have noticed that I have a prints account now. Simply put, this is because I want to make some money from my art.  If you are at all interested in buying a print of anything in my gallery, have a look!  If there's a problem (your favourite picture isn't there, the price is too high, etc.) tell me and I'll see what I can do.

I'm also now offering commissions, and working on setting up a paypal account.

For a high-resolution digital version of a fully-shaded pencil drawing, I will charge a base of $20 Canadian (or the equivalent price American). This is assuming a fairly simple composition (one to three figures, simple background).

Prices increase when you add more figures, or make the picture more complex (for instance, $5 more for a complex background, $2.50 for every extra figure).  Obviously, it doesn't actually have to include human figures (animals, plants, anthros, insects, machines, etc. are fine).

Contact me to give a description and/or relevant reference pictures, and we can work out the price from there. It would be best, I think, to work out price and payment type before committing so that there are no unpleasant surprises. I reserve the right to refuse a commission based on its description (if it is something I know I cannot do or object to on the grounds of decency, etc. Please don't ask for anything pornographic.)

Please e-mail me at lizsherry at sympatico dot ca (separated in case of spambots) or comment here if you are interested! :)
Thanks so much to kilara and silentkitty for the daily deviation!
And thanks to everyone who's come by to comment, fav, and watch. I'm utterly blown away by all of this attention and friendliness - I intend to go through comments and reply when I am less overwhelmed.

All I can say at the moment is welcome and thanks, everyone.
