Kiwigans are warm-blooded horselike reptiles, a fictional creature in my in-progress graphic novel Eithalica. They are smaller and faster than horses, but not as strong under heavy loads.

The tempo may seem unnaturally fast, but is meant as realtime. (5 steps per second; compared to ~2 for humans, 2.5 for a trotting horse, or 4 for a harness racehorse.) This is meant to better reflect a reptile's biomechanics.

This walk cycle was created to visualize just how much faster a kiwigan is than a horse. A comparison video can be seen here (slide 2). The edict was that kiwigans make a comfortable 15 mph for long-distance travel (at the gait pictured above). Short sprints would be much faster.
