As opposed to making my mdi entry in one day (see round 1 entry: looks like barf) i did it 3. i'm much happier with the result :D :D also because i made it on my laptop and not a campus computer. the palettes should be better as a result.

So this is a bastardization of traditional dress in ghana. the ghanese flag is, fyi, a red yellow and green flag with a black star on the yellow bit. Her skirt is made of kente, which is made (i gather) from loom woven squares of cloth sewn together, hence the very geometric pattern. it was hell in a handbasket. no lie.

could be better, i'm sick of it, i've been dolling this thing for almost 24 hours straight.

baseless. (and a full forward face! a challenge to myself :meow:)

So I was watching miss universe last night and I saw Miss Ghana and instantly thought of your entry. This is the national costume that she wore in the intro.

Actually, kene is completely woven from individual threads- there is no squares of cloth. :XD:

Very nice design!

ah, i thought maybe they wove the squares and then put then in that design. it seemed odd, so maybe i'm wrong. thanks!

She's absolutely gorgeous. So much amazing detail, especially the folds on her head scarf and her skirt. Just beautiful (:

Well, if this doesn't qualify for a daily deviation I don't know what does.
