The bar stunk of stale alcohol and burned food, mixed with the sweat of drunks and even the scent of old, dry piss. The group gagged when they walked in, and Ivory just walked right back out. Ebony stared, then shrugged, pulling her scarf up to cover her nose as she approached the bar. She begins chatting with the barkeep, pulling out a bag of coins and laying a few on the table, getting in return a key. She looks back at Vinnis, who was still standing by the door, and waved him over.
“I got you a separate room. Me and Ivory are going to share one,” she says simply, and hands him a dull key. “I, for one, am going to go take...” she pauses, as if for dramatic effect, “a shower!” Ebony strikes a dramatic pose, which only gets an eyebrow raise from Vinnis in response. “Alright fine, I’ll go now. Jerk.”
Vinnis just sighs, rolling his eyes at her antics and tucking the keys away into his pocket. He decided to go outside, to see if Ivory
