Your version of Melkor is I believe the reason I might have a crush on Melkor :3 this remains one of my favourite short comics of the silmarillion

All of your art is breathtaking. I’m especially impressed by the lighting, and how you managed to create such heavy atmosphere with a limited color palette.
I think this was when Sauron truly realized that Melkor was no more, and only Morgoth remained.

This is brilliant. And it probably did go something like that, too.

I would point out, technically, being a Valar and a Maiar respectively, they are both spirits, only wearing their bodies for show. Being made bodiless by Luthien wouldn't have bothered Sauron that much, since he could always get a new one.

I just cant get over Melkor restraining himself from crushing Mairon, that second to last row is just perfect.

The Balrogs were recruited, not bred. They are Maiar. Other then that, this is practically perfect.

What, don't Balrogs and Maiar reproduce too?

And I just ruined your day with that image of Balrog-on-Balrog action. XD

In fact there is a precedence of Maiar (not specifically balrogs though) reproducing as Luthien's mother Melian is a Maiar.

I don't think so. Maiar are basically little pieces of Eru, whereas orcs, elves, dwarves, hobbits, and all other such creatures aren't directly connected to Eru.

Doesn't exactly mean they can't reproduce, just that story never mentions it. But if you're right, it's for the best. No one deserves Balrog-on-Balrog action. XD lol kkkkk

It's gorgeous! I was quite - OK, confused - that some people here on DeviantArt seem to think about them as poor victims. It's refreshing to see really horrible Morgoth :) (Smile)

I have read the Silmarillion innumerable times, love depiction of Morgorth but should look scar up, but Sauron looks more of a woman than a man. Still I enjoy reading this story and looking at this art. Do hope you can make more of this soon.
