Male - 50s. Since a child I have wondered about the world if women were the more dominate characters. So my art has always reflected the female as the one with the power. And I like to study how the physically powerful woman can still retain her femininity.
Working heavily with Maya, Sketchbook, and 3ds Max, After Effects, Nuke to design characters for 3D photorealistic rendering, and compositing using Nuke, AfterEffects. The effort has been worth it but it's literally taken years to make the transition to these tools. The learning curve has been very STEEP and LONG, but the results are worth it. For display here and for quick sketching I use Photoshop. Translation between Maya, 3DS Max, Nuke and so forth is very challenging as they are Node based and AfterEffects and Photoshop are Layer based. I think Node based allows much more sophistication for creating realistic movies, but it's hard to beat Photoshop for sketching and creating digital art easily and quickly.
