Fun Fact: In 1712, French scholar Antoine Galland translated an Arabic version of the The Thousand and One Nights (also called The Arabian Nights) into French. Dating to the 10th century A.D., Aladdin and the Magical Lamp was just one of the 1001 stories from Arabian Nights. In the both Galland’s text and English scholar-explorer Sir Richard Burton’s popular 1885 translation, Aladdin lives “in a city of the cities in China.” Illustrations of the tales from the Victorian era depict the story and its characters as Chinese.

Well, Robin Williams and Gilbert Gottfried already got me into the theater with Aladdin, but the Jaskini would have been a most welcome lagniappe! Great colors to a sweet art piece, and thanks for the factoid.
