You walked away with shadows in your eyes, And left me drowning in a sea of cries. I trace the ghost of touch upon my skin, To find the void where love should just have been. Every whisper of your name Burns like fire, ignites the flame. Promises turn into ash, Laughter faded, gone too fast. I bleed alone within the dead of night, Your absence stealing every shard of light. The mirror shows a cold and hollow stare, A heart torn open, left to my despair. I loved beyond all reason, beyond fear, Yet you vanished, leaving only tears. Now darkness comes to swallow me up whole, A shattered shell, a broken, empty soul. No dawn can pierce this never-ending black, No prayer can ever bring your shadow back. I’m left with echoes of your many lies, And the hollow weight of all your last goodbyes.
