I totally almost bought a book all about Jack the Ripper. It included, along with many theories and facts, newspaper clippings and pictures of evidence from the murders. Such a fascinatingly terryifying case.

did you know they found jack the ripper to be a german who worked for a trading company, one that used to dock their boats in white chapel, new york and other coastal cities for trading? apparently he had a form of DDS in which he would black out every time he would hire a hooker (he said it was a big fantasy of his and he would get excited approaching dirty women) and would gain consciousness later with blood all over him. he said that in those instances that he had blood he would run home, frightened at what he did. he was arrested in new york for the witnessed murder of a prostitute in her apartment, where her son watched through a window. they linked him to the murders in white chapel because he did the same ritual of cutting like he did on all of his other victims. the reason the world still pictures him a phantom, instead of his actually identity, is because they couldn't prove the connections of murders between the two cities because of tarnished evidence from the early whitechapel crimes and limited technology (unlike we have today), and his image did not meet up to the images that the UK and other countries all over the world worked him up to be. isn't it funny that his was just a tradesman unaware of his actions, instead of a devious murdering mastermind and, what it looked like to the investigators of whitechapel, a man with a plan? how ironic.

food for thought:)

(cited from a wonderful documentary i watched about a month ago. you should give it a look:))

I think the second case was a copycat, or there's another theory I have.

A cult of men that was never set in motion. Chances are both men were hanged before they could even get this plan in full swing (There were other murders that were considered Jack's, but the only problem is that in the letter written to the police, I think it stated six women out of the eleven total found)

Fuck YES! My friend Anthony and I have a mild fascination with the ripper. He's into the underworld aspect, uncatchable criminals and the glamour of the lawless... I'm into the more visceral details. Psychological and physical. Methods, motives... disembowelings...
