THIS IS HER OLD REFERENCE. NEW REFERENCE: fav.me/d9b3o86

Information

show name. SLS Southern Belle
nick name. Belle
breed. American Quarter Horse
gender. Mare
age. 7 years old
height. 16hh
personality. Belle is the calmest, most obedient mare you will ever meet. She's sweeter than honey and has more patience than Father Time. With beginners, she knows the difference between what's a mistake and what they want to do, and will let almost anything slide. With advanced riders, just a well-placed nudge will get her from standing to zooming. A light touch of the reins will send her spinning and darting the other direction. She's very friendly and likes meeting new people and animals(and she's never opposed to a pet or a carrot).
owner. Catherine Smith
strengths. Reining, western pleasure, trail
genotype. EE/AA/nCr/nF/nSpl
phenotype. buckskin splash

Point revision for the WD (not official, as I'm not a group admin):
Bullet; Green chibi fullbody colored w/ plain background - "SLS Southern Belle - old reference 1" - 2 points (not shaded either)
Bullet; Green chibi semi-body colored w/ background - "what are you looking at?" - 1 point
Bullet; Green realistic fullbody colored w/ background - "belle taking a stroll" - 3 points (not shaded)
Bullet; Green realistic semi-body colored w/ plain background - "baby blue" - 1 point
> 1 point for Eagle Creek's OG Mini - 1 point (looks like week 35)
Bullet; Green chibi headshot w/ plain background - "eagle creek's ongoing mini show - western pleasure" - sta.sh/0dk22sp47qj 3 points for entry + whatever placing you got, make sure to list what week you find the placing under! + 1st Place (points added below below)
Bullet; Green chibi headshot w/ plain background - "eagle creek's ongoing mini show - liberty" - 3 points (again, show entry) + 1st place (points added below for first)
Bullet; Green realistic fullbody colored w/ plain background - SLS Southern Belle - old reference 2" - 2 points (not shaded, plain bg)
BY OTHER Bullet; Green realistic fullbody colored w/ background and shading - "Gift - A little Southern Belle on the beach" 3 points
Bullet; Green realistic fullbody sketch - "sketchy belle" - .5 points
> 1 point for Eagle Creek's OG Mini - 1 point (week 36, different judging round than previously)
Bullet; Green realistic fullbody colored w/ background - "stepping lightly" - 3 points for entry, Again, don't forget what weeks you entered so we can find results. + 2nd Place (week 36) (points added below)
Bullet; Green  new reference (you're here!) - 1 point (not a new image)
BY OTHER Bullet; Red realistic fullbody colored w/ background - "Gift - Pharmwool - A lesson in trust"- 2 points, not shaded, not much of a background, I'd consider this a plain bg
Bullet; Red realistic headshot w/o background - "Small Requests Page!"- .25 points (sketch)
:bulletred: realistic fullbody colored w/ background - "new buddy"- 3 points, not shaded, but is full body with background

Total: 29.75 points. Then whatever placings she achieved (which also should be directly written on here, so if she got 1st, 2nd, 3rd, say so on your list here WITH the link to the results), those placing points will be added to this total.

ETA!!!! Show Placings: Liberty 1st Place (5 points); Western Pleasure 1st Place (5 points); Reining 2nd Place (3 points) = 13 points

:bulletgreen: Plus 2 points for registries, you have EquineRPG and HARPG-The-WD as her registrations.

So total of *drumroll*  44.75 points

Tip would be to separate shows from regular art stuff, it'll make it much easier to total.

(i updated her point count for TWD but i left the references out because i'm unsure about if just a color counts as a plain background or no background)

Plain BG and No BG are worth the same points when totaling for the WD, it's only when there is a detailed bg that the point amount changes ;)

"• Full Body, Not Shaded With Photo/Simple Background: 3 Points
• Full Body Without Background: 2 Points"
so wouldn't a plain background count for the simple background?

Hm, now that I read that, that's odd. I coulda swore that plain and simple were under the same points. A plain one color bg would be considered no bg then in this case. I didn't think there was points awarded for photo bgs at all...I'll have to ask them about that now XD

oh okay, thank you ^-^

keep in mind to change how you did the points for the entries as well, they only get the entry points, not the art points.

oh, yeah, thanks for reminding me ^-^

Gifts count as art by others, same with commissions, ect.

yeah, i forgot for a second that the point amount changes for that ^^;

pharmwoolStudent Digital Artist
and then also for a lesson in trust, wouldn't that be 3 points, because not shaded + simple background?

ignore the mini show entry thing that i said about "baby blue" ^^; i misread your comment

a few questions ^^;
wouldn't the first reference be 3 points, because full body w/o background + reference sheet? (same question for the second reference)
also would just a color as a background be plain or no background?
you added a mini show entry thing under the "baby blue" but that wasn't entered in a show..
also for the western pleasure and liberty, together wouldn't that be 1 point per picture, because it's a headshot (2 points), 1 point for entering the show (3 points), 3 points per image for a mini show entry (9 points), and then 5 points per image for getting 1st place (19 points)? (so 9 points per image)
(sorry for all these questions, especially since you're not an admin x.x)
and the first gift - a little southern belle on the beach - wouldn't that be 4 points, because it's fullbody with background and shading?
and then for stepping lightly, would it also get 3 points for being fullbody + background but no shading?

also i will definitely be taking your advice of making a more organized art format thingy~

Only the current reference get's reference points, in which is 1 point, unless it is a new image, in which case, this one here is reused from her show entry, right? they don't get points for being a reference if they're a new image, it's just regular art by owner points, if it's reused, then 1 point. and any previous reference gets scored the same as any other art. Keep in mind that no shading subtracts a whole point for full bodies for the most part. Since it'll be full body, no shading, no bg, it's 2 points in the art by owner category.

Just color is no bg for me, I think of it as, if I took a picture of this horse, would the background just be one solid color? nope ;) I believe according the group, just a simple arena ground, arena fence, block of grass, with no shading/detail/ect is still a plain background, and counts as no bg.

images entered in show score differently than other art by owner, mini show images get 3 points, full show images get 4 points. They do NOT get regular art points at all. Entering the show only gives 1 point, and again, that's ONCE per show, or per judging round. There is a different category for how to give points to these images, under the competitions section. Now if the entry isn't western, it's scored as a regular picture, not competition picture. Halter, liberty, showmanship, those kind of things, are scored as competition pictures unless done in like English halter/showmanship tack.

Refering to previous comment, gifts will score as art by others, not art by yourself.

It sounds like you're confusing categories of art, everything only gets scored in 1 category, so you can't give points for "art by owner" AND "competition art", you can only give one or the other. I'd suggest rereading everything, seeing which categories are what, looking at how things are scored in different categories, that kind of thing.

OH
okay well you cleared up the background and show questions, but i'm still kind of confused about the reference thing
i thought that all references got the +1 bonus for being a reference, and then also whatever art points they would get normally

As far as I know of, this is how references work:

NEW image for reference, newly drawn: gets regular art points, no reference point
REUSED image for reference: only 1 point, doesn't get any other points.

thank you so much for your time and help (and patience with all my questions and confusion)
i really appreciate it ^-^

Not a problem, I know it can be really confusing, I've asked about the points regarding full bodies with or without shading or backgrounds, so we shall see XD
