Ildameth of the Wavebreaker is one of the first Sylmarins encountered by the heroes in Chroniques du ChaOs, guiding them across the endless flowing leaves of the Canopy Ocean toward adventures, discoveries, and perhaps a few disasters along the way.

This scene comes from Act II of my ongoing dark fantasy TTRPG campaign, Chroniques du ChaOs. Beneath the Canopy Ocean, the heroes discover an ancient Titan city-ship, a forgotten place of portals, preserved biotopes, and experiments on the humanoid races of this world.

Here, trapped deep below the green ocean, they awaken an ancient sentinel construct to force open the only portal that might bring them home… but doing so also awakens the Dragon-Leviathan.

So yes, this is one of those moments where the plan was simple.

And then the ancient mechanical sea-serpent arrived.
