Sunset in the backyard of your house.
We sip the tea you brewed for the three of us and cover ourselves with the light blankets you made.
The porch you built ages ago still stands strong.
We appreciate this peaceful moment life has granted us.
A few glimpses, here and there.
We smile as the last sun rays paint our faces.
We are blessed with this beauty.

Right in front of us.
And us.
The most beautiful picture ever painted.
We notice the last drops of tea in our cups grow cold.
And the sun starts to set.
It blends in with the horizon and makes me nostalgic, even though we still have some time left.
I know that, when night shows up, this will only be a memory.
The one I will keep for years.
I look at you with tears in my eyes.
I cry out of joy.
I have never been happier than with the two of you.
Two people who raised me as their own child, not just a grandchild.
There is a difference between the two, you must understand.
