almician dragon head practice by phantos almician dragon head practice by phantos
Some watercolor practice.
I have a few sketches of the Almician Rexes on my computer and wanted to try for this head position. Ended up making it more dragon-like (messed up on the snout, didn't make it as blocky as the original sketch but oh weeelllll).

Original size is maybe 4 inches (maximum) across and down.
Watercolour on Arches tablet watercolor paper.

It's my own creation C:
I based the species primarily on carnivorous, theropod dinosaurs (larger ones like Allosaurus and the like) and added more 'dragon-like' traits such as the head spine/fins and elongated head, things like that though I vary it up from creature-to-creature in the species to give some individualism to each of them.
