I wasn't sure whether this should go in drawing or typography!

This is a bit of English to Gallifreyan transliteration that I did for ~aithilin I love all the crossovers that are developing between the Sherlockian and Whovian fandoms. This is the classic Sherlockian quote -

"When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth!"

In Gallifreyan text using the ~BlackHatGuy method and the 2012 version of the translator program to check it. Thank you everyone who proofread it for me!

If you would like to get this as a tattoo I just ask that you send me pictures of the finished piece because that would be awesome.

I have a Gallifreyan tattoo myself. It hurt 2 or 3 times worse than my other tattoos, because the shapes have to be so crisp and accurate that the tattooist has to work more slowly. I would NOT recommend getting a piece this size as a first tattoo. I would advice you speak to your tattooist about size and placement, something that needs this level of detail to stay clear can't be made too small, it'll fade and end up saying something else.

Here is my tattoo and my other Gallifreyan designs-

I could probably do one or two lines, but the whole speech is far too long for one circle like this.

The whole speech is -  "It all just disappears doesn't it? Everything you are, gone in a moment like breath on a mirror. But times change and so must I. We all change, when you think about it. We are all different people all through our lives and that's okay, that's good you've got to keep moving so long as you remember all the people that you used to be. I will not forget one line of this, not one day, I swear. I will always remember when The Doctor was me..."

Personally I'd reduce it to just "I will not forget one line of this, not one day, I swear. I will always remember when The Doctor was me..."

Also I did Upload a Version i made but not really circular due to the length so i don’t know if it is valid

i was thinking about starting at "we all change when you think about it" to "as long as you remember all the people that you used to be"

I just translated it by hand. When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth!

I hate you!
I missed the third line on "m" in the fourth word for like 10 mins...
Maybe you can make this more obvious :)

I'm trying to figure out the do's and don't's of this alphabet. And I'm just wondering- in the word "improbable," is the "p" really allowed to go through the first "b" like that? Or in other words, if a line goes through another letter, rather than from it, it is not part of the letter?

Maybe I'm just thinking too much.

Maybe this will help you out.

I work on the basis that a line is only part of a letter if it terminates in that letter, so the line joining the "m" and the "p" counts for both letters but because the line that goes through the "b" terminates on the outer ring it doesn't have any effect on the "b". If it stopped on the "b" that letter would become a "g".

I also draw some "a"s slightly differently than the guide suggests. Think of it a bit like handwriting, there's different ways of forming a, y, g and z in printscript and cursive/joinedup handwriting but as long as its the same basic shape it still reads the same. So be flexible and find a style you're comfortable with :D
