Pacific hake (merluccius productus)

North Pacific hake, also known as Pacific whiting, is a ray-finned groundfish found in the northeast Pacific Ocean. They are a vital part of the North Pacific food web, acting as both predators and prey. Appearance: Silver-gray with black speckling, a square caudal fin, and a soft, elongated body. They can grow up to 90 cm long and live up to 13 years.
