Took voluntary redundancy, and got out of a job that was sucking the joy out of my life. :phew:

I think that's very brave of you :salute:

I started my own business; which didn't work out the way I had planned but I learned a lot and got other opportunities.

I let my guard down for the first time in years to have a relationship with someone who turned out to be perfect with me. Though we had to go through a lot, we made it work in the end.

I stopped taking care of everyone to take care of and focus on my children and I instead the constant struggle of taking care of my sister, father and everyone else that couldn't get it together since my grandma passed. (I still feel guilty about this one, but I can't be responsible for them forever, they have to do it themselves eventually and it was only gonna happen by me moving and making them at least try)

How's it going with your business and of course with love now six months later? :aww:

And with caring for yourself and your children, I think that's a really good idea. I mean you need to take care of yourself to have something to give to others. The rest who couldn't get it together, well, you can only do so much they need to do some of the work too - but it's hard to let go like that.

Well not what I wrote down to do, which was go up in a hot air balloon. LOL But let's see, I did dare to go to Carlsbad Caverns. And I went on a tour by myself while Dad photographed the larger room. Hm besides standing up for myself more at work I guess nothing much.

Well, I think that was some amazing things you did anyway. The hot air balloon ride might be something you can do this year? :aww:

Travelling to the other side of the world on my own at the age of 20 to stay for a month with someone I'd never met in a country where hardly anyone has a language in common with me.

Quitting all my jobs.

Hiking/backpacking in Scotland with my younger brother.

Choosing and starting a new university study.

Accepting an internship with dA. Not that I hesitated :P

I'd say that was one awesome year :la: Now you just have to top last year and make this even better.

Any special places in Scotland you'd recommend going to?

So far it looks like this year will be at least as good, with all I have planned. :D

We hiked from Inverness to Cannich, going off the road where we could, which was absolutely wonderful.

So, how would explain the nature and views around Iverness and Cannich? :aww:

Hmm... beautiful :) Wide. A bit rough and yet peaceful.

I did so much! I flipped a canoe, made a whole whack of films, finished the pilot of my tv show, soloed a canoe, had my first professional film gig, survived a week on only six hours of sleep, and moved out on my own!

I think that sounds like a fantastic year for you  Let's hope this will be EVEN better :la:

I want to take a photography class at the community college here as soon as I can afford it (it's not horribly expensive at least), also needing some work done on a couple teeth which I shouldn't put off any longer, not looking forward to it!

How's it gone with the photo class and your teeth?

Haven't gotten around to it yet, still looking for work. The economy here is supposed to get better I heard. So hopefully I'll find something by the time summer has ended :) Thanks for asking! How are you?

Ah, I see I got an answer already to my comment I asked about your job. Sad to hear it didn't go well with the job you said you had. I'm having my :fingerscrossed: for you.

For me it could be a bit better, my personal life is a bit stormy at the moment but at least I'm recovering from my cold - finally :aww:

quit one of my part-time jobs (which I HATED). A little less steady money, but a lot more happiness and the extra time for my doll orders usually makes up for the loss at the end of the month. :)

So, now six months into the new year, do you regret leaving the job you hated? :aww:

There have been some financial drawbacks that, had I known they would happen, I think I would have stuck with it a couple months more, but regret-regret? Nope. Good riddance! :)

Glad to hear that you're happy with your choice! Not that great with the financial drawbacks but I'm sure it will be better soon, your dolls are so lovely.
