I think the second depands on situation and point of view very much.It work usualy just by ethic or philosophical way, but not in factual way.Many good acts were forgoten or remain unnoticed as same as some good ppl become villains because history is writen by victors.The first one is clear...things we did just for ourselves they will die with us from factual, philosophical and might from ethic point of view.
