haha... great idea. I like the way the water is sooo still, it almost looks unreal. Have you places the little duck there or was it already there?

The duck was lying on the shore (left by somebody). I just gave it a little push and then took the photo. Unfortunately it capsized right away so I didn't have an opportunity to take more pics as it had floated too deep for me to recover it. Thanks for commenting! :)

You took a perfect shot... so no need to worry about others. I was confused about the water having no ripples around the duck. I first thought you've added it digitally.

I love this idea! And it's really well executed too.
The composition really emphasises the emptiness of the lake and the loneliness of the duck. I also like how clear the sky is - it emphasises the lake's emptiness.
The simple, almost minimalistic feel to the photo' works really well.
The only critique I can think of is that I feel it would work slightly better if the duck was facing to the right rather than the left, so that he was looking out into the emptiness of the lake. But that's a small thing. :P

Great job!

(How many times can I put "emptiness" into one comment? xD)

I really like this photo, like a lot. It's really simplistic and and the colors are all relatively muted blues and greens and then there is this splash of color in the forefront of the picture which really makes the duck stand out. It's a very great concept!

Great idea about the duck. I give it to my little cat who's playing with it all the time :D
