This one is by far my favorite in the series. Nice work by the model and photographer.

That's a familiar internal monologue scene...that is to say, I know how that feels. I quite like the shot. The lighting works well to cast shadows on the subject's face giving a nice and brooding feel.

hei pete, how are you?
Here, I and my staff want writing a new art magazine, now for the italian people, and we're interested to put this picture in our pages. If you are interested you can write me with a note and tell us that you autorize the use of the image.
thank you ^^

Writers live in pensive black and white worlds, apparently.

I'm writing a story about a writer (it's a shame you can't read it because it's in hungarian, but anyway: and the scary thing is that I imagined my story's main character absolutely the SAME like Mike in this picture!Everything is the same, the way he looks at the laptop with a cigarette in his hand, the way he sits there, even if it'll be a book, I will ask you to let me use this as my book jacket :D
I don't think that I have to say how much i love this means to me more than any other.

yes of course it would be my pleasure to collaborate with you on creating a great book overall :) writing stories - wow i only wish i had the knowledge of words and time to do so myself !
good luck with the writing and let me know if you need my services ;) ha

i like this too.

looks like he is trying to hard to say something or to think of something to write.

The beautiful ordinary setting is what makes this nice.

thankyou linda :) yes , i thought too the fact that the setting is so ordinary and relatable to everyone else that the emotion then can shine through !

I love the whole setting here, how he seems to be lost in his own little world. The picture is full of little details and that gives the viewer a chance to come up with a back story for it.

im glad you think so highly of it :) and yeah i hope you have come up with your own deep interpretation .

I think everyone who takes the time to really look at it will.

I love photos that tell a story and this one certainly does that. Mike looks like he's waiting for something. Maybe an important email or an instant message. Or perhaps its something altogether different. I notice the tripod on the tabletop. Maybe he's viewing some secret footage he's filmed of someone who lives in the house opposite. Is he a stalker? Or a serial killer? Or perhaps he's just catching up with Eastenders on iPlayer :D

it does doesnt it ? :) i just think its strange how this photo can be read so - extreme sadness , extreme tranquility or the psychotic nature you found in it too ?
this was mikes apartment kindof 'as is' , we wanted the photos to be real , so didnt worry about any objects needing moved or anything , i set the tripod there perhaps it enhances mikes creative mind and passion for photography and writing etc , or perhaps its just a tripod on a table lol

There are so many ways to see an image and that I guess is the beauty of art.
