This was one of three robot/puppet characters I designed for a guy creating an MST3K-inspired show. He didn't use them and will probably never complete the project. This one was supposed to be called "Dixie" (I didn't come up with the names).

How did I miss this comment? It's funny you mention "Winn" - I was working at Winn-Dixie when I drew this.

you know I can see her as a kind of an uptight, serious, straight man (or woman) type of robot who wants things to operate with the utmost effeciency. nicole sullivan would be a great voice for dixie and she and her pals could join the robots on the satalite of love in the everyday tactics of mst3k.

I can definetly see that!

Yeah, that's pretty much how she would have been written. Nicole Sullivan is an interesting choice, I liked her stuff on MadTV. Thanks for the comment. ;)

lol, Crow's mother, eh? I can see that, and she is supposed to be matronly. The bot is based (or at least inspired by) Gypsy.

She's my favorite of the three designs, and the one I think would've worked best if made. Oh well, :(

Thanks for the comment! (again) ;)

Dixie looks like she'd be Crow's mother.

Thanks a lot! :) Yes, Dixie was supposed to be a female character along the lines of MST3K's Gypsy. I tried to give her a somewhat feminine shape using real life objects (the head is a dustbuster, the chest is a toaster oven, the hips is a upside-down plant pot). I really would've loved to have seen this built, I know it could be done by a really good builder (which I'm not).

Thanks again!

that's a great design, very characterful, and i can really imagine her (him?) built and in motion. i'm trying to do something similar myself at the moment, still collecting parts, and this really inspired me. i like the colour scheme, too.
