Personal piece. I'm a big Tolkien fan. Here's an image inspired by The Silmarillion. You can find a tutorial of sorts outlining broadly how I made this painting here fav.me/d2i2jbu and here fav.me/d33xb21

Hello Pete,

My name is Doug and I am the editor of the Hall of Fire webzine for The One Ring roleplaying game. It is a free fanzine with content created by fans of the game, produced by Cubicle 7.

I am writing you to see if you would be interested in allowing us to use one of your images in our next issue - releasing in December 2017. As it is a free webzine, we do not generate any compensation and thus can not provide any. Of course, all credits will be extended to you for your image.

I look forward to your response.

Thanks!

I've recently read The Simarillion, and I have to say it is my favorite Middle Earth story. Probably my favorite story by Tolkein.

A hauntingly beautiful image. The lighting is superb and the environment is so lush I can almost smell it.
I should give this book another attempt.....

Gives me such a serene, peaceful feeling. The soft greens and subtle lighting just add to the peaceful atmosphere.

Great atmosphere of tranquility and majesty created here by lighting and shading as well as by calm, ghost-like figures.
