Whew...boy, did this take a while to do! I've always thought typography was such an interesting concept, so I decided to make one myself! I think it looks pretty darn good for my first attempt. I clocked myself at around 21 hours and 30 minutes over the course of 4 days.
I'll be entering this into the county fair next week, so wish me luck there! If all goes well, I'll also have a pencil drawing to add to the mix later, too! I hope you all like ponies...
The image is a reproduction of this one, [link] , which I do not own, obviously.
EDIT (July 29): Well, looks like we took 2nd place again at the fair this year. I gotta admit, I'm a little bummed, as I honestly thought it would do better than that, but considering how well this piece has been received here on DA, and all the praise it's gotten, that in itself makes me feel like I've really accomplished something. So thank you guys, both for the outpouring of support and for making me feel awesome for doing what I do!
EDIT (August 14): Much higher quality version put up. I finally figured out that you can take a Publisher document and convert it into a JPG quite easily. The old version was simply a scan of the printout. The difference in color quality is just mind-boggling.
EDIT (March 20, 2012): Wow, thanks so much for all the wonderful comments and favs! You guys rock!
