Prize art for Lugal for the 2nd Short Story Contest of 2013
Listened to "The Lightning Strike" by Snow Patrol the whole time I was working on this.
I can totally picture that tiny little robot going, "Ah miss! Miss! It's coming back!"
There is a lot of stock credit for this one so bare with me as I list them:

"The Lightning Strike" Lyrics

What if this storm ends?
And I don't see you
As you are now
Ever again

The perfect halo
Of gold hair and lightning
Sets you off against
The planet's last dance

Just for a minute
The silver forked sky
Lit you up like a star
That I will follow

Now it's found us
Like I have found you
I don't want to run
Just overwhelm me

What if this storm ends?
And leaves us nothing
Except a memory
A distant echo

I want pinned down
I want unsettled
Rattle cage after cage
Until my blood boils

I want to see you
As you are now
Every single day
That I am living

Painted in flames
All peeling thunder
Be the lightning in me
That strikes relentless

This is great work. Even without reading the story I am pulled in by the picture. Great use of multiple stock items. Only thing that is slightly off are the man and woman's feet position.

thank you :) I was going for the mans right foot to be on the fan, and his left on the rail.  With her, I think I tried to align the upper hand to the wall due to the pose she was in.  Hopefully next time I'll do better :D
