Doris the Door

Here's something new I thought on doing after looking at some shows I used to watched before.

If you're not familiar with "A Little Curious", I don't blame you as like with the Rainbow Fish television series, it was only available via HBO Family, so unless you're one of the rich families who get the service, you probably won't know what it is.

What's the show about? Well, it's about these group of characters who are based around objects and they just do various things. Like the title of the show says, the characters would often learn different things on their surroundings. The show is structured similar to the Mr. Men Show; each episode would be focus on a few strings of words and there are multiple number of segments based around it. Though unlike the Mr. Men Show where an episode is on just one topic (like there would be segments based around ships or boats), a Little Curious would have a couple of segments based on three single words (eg. Top, Bottom, Jump). One thing I like about the show is that the segments are animated differently! There would be one segment done in CGI, another would be animated traditional cartoon, and even stop motion! I actually didn't know about this show until my family got the service around the mid 2000s, which by that point I was already out of the age range, but I still love it regardless. Unfortunately, the show is hard to come by unless you have a subscription for HBO Family, and it's funny that they still reran the show for so long even after it's cancelled. And there's no home video release, so the subscription is the only way.

I decided to draw Doris as my first character from the series as there's no fanart on the character here, or any other place. I know she looks odd, but because of how the characters are designed like, it's hard trying to make them look perfect. And like I said, there's no actual place to watch the show without HBO and there's only a few recordings some users on YouTube posted. So I hope nobody complains about it.
