This is my two cents - as I do not have otherwise alternative suggestion, I want to share with you I like the scale comparison in this image so much better than your normal coin ones. I wonder whether using a piece of fruit (lime or some grapes example) can be just as effective!! Again, I hope my comment does not come across as a negative one, because I will never disrespect when it comes to you and your immense talent.
I like the fork as well. I think it fits with showing scale more than, say, the coin or even a match.
At one point, I did think of using fruits and vegetables to show scale when I made their 1:12 match. It'd be an interesting way to do it. I'll need to revisit the idea next time I made them.
