So Mother Nature decided to be a massive bitch this weekend. It's cold and raining, so any plans I had for working outside are totally shot. I did manage to borrow a sander from my buddies at least. If the weather improves during the week, I can handle it then. Hopefully it will do so. Even more hopefully the weekend after next won't suck as horrifically as this on has weather-wise.
So turns out I didn't sand the table enough before I stained it. I guess someone had actually treated it before... not that you could tell given how awful it looked. The stain came out all wrong and seemed to have been more effective on my hands than it was on the table. I'm going to have to sand it all the way down and do it again. *sigh*
I'm also tearing apart the quilt rack and re-staining that when I get the hand sander from the friends I'm borrowing it from.
I got the plans all done for the bed frame and shelves I'm building and I priced out the lumber for it. Turns out I way overpriced the lumber the first time and it'll only cost $13
So God help me, I've gotten creative again...
Today, I was all kinds of wired and that translated off to being uber industrious. I woke up early (translation: Before 7am), and got to work. I cleaned the kitchen, dragged the table I've been intending on refinishing outside and sanded it, painted another picture, sprayed sealer on all my recent work (4 paintings), and then hung up all the wall art (7 tiles and 10 pictures) I've been meaning to hang in the kitchen. All that before 5pm.
Then I went and took a decorating class over at Home Depot. On an up note, I price out the materials I'm going to need to redo the bedroom and it's much cheaper
