New Hope and Ivyland GP-9u 8218 stops in Lansdale to pick up passengers on an excursion to Souderton on Lansdale Founders day. 8218 was built in August 1957 as a GP9 for the Canadian Pacific and was rebuilt into a GP9u sometime after the 70s recieving a front cab and nose. After retirement she was sold to the Pennsylvania Northeastern and then was transferred to New Hope in 2017 where she recieved a repaint into a dark red with New Hope lettering on the sides.
