Clear to go

Here's SEPTA ACS-64 913 waiting for passengers to board before leaving for Philadelphia and eventually Elwyn. Instead of getting the engine up front I went for a shot behind the engine with one of the coaches visible and the clear signal. I've seen shots like this hundreds of times and I've done it before but rarely do I see it done with the ACS-64 as I see it mostly done with toasters, E60s, GG1s etc. Such a simple shot but with a shiny new locomotive. In fact the locomotive is the only new thing on this set as the comet coaches date back from 1987 to around 1993 yet the cab car has no trouble with being backwards compatible with the new ACS-64. This will be a common sight for another 30 - 40 years or whenever SEPTA feels like retiring them because they tend to hold on to their equippment until the very latest of it's useful service life unlike most transit companies hence why the 1970s era Silverliner IVs are still in service.
