Just having fun wandering through your gallery again...
Love the color here. I know this is digital, but it has some similarity with the way watercolors feel. I'm trying to learn, and I need to get the courage to mix up the colors like you have here. (WW has always been one of my favorite superheroes.)
Well... digital, watercolor, oils, clay... They're all "difficult" until you get the courage to dive in and start learning. It takes courage, and the tenacity to work through a lot of real failures in order to get good.
Very true. I haven't given watercolors much of a chance, but I think it's very fun to mess around with from time to time. It would be nice to take a class and really learn the techniques someday ^^
It is true! Once you get a basic feel for them (especially the sense of, "Less is more"), they are a lot of fun. I think because they really push you to move quickly and not overwork/overthink the piece. Yeah, you can still get into fiddly details, but you can't keep going over and over a painting like you can with oils/acrylics or even digital.
