Midsummer's Eve

'Upon the very Eve of Midsummer, when the sky was blue as sapphire and white stars opened in the East, but the West was still golden and the air was cool and fragrant, the riders came down the North-way to the gates of Minas Tirith ... and last came Master Elrond, mighty among Elves and Men, bearing the sceptre of Annúminas, and beside him upon a grey palfrey rode Arwen his daughter, Evenstar of her people.
And Frodo when he saw her come glimmering in the evening, with stars on her brow and a sweet fragrance about her, was moved with great wonder, and he said to Gandalf: 'At last I understand why we have waited! This is the ending. Now not day only shall be beloved, but night too shall be beautiful and blessed and all its fear pass away!''

I cannot believe you took the time to put in all those fabric wrinkles and details in the hair and... whatever that thing is hanging from her sleeve. All over this picture I see details and time and care---wonderful job

Again, my sincere thanks. The enjoyment is in the detail (as well as the frustration and repetitiveness too!) ;)

Yes, that is pretty much all of that passage in a single image, standing by to watch the procession and be awestruck at the implication of the future.

Glad you think I got it right. This was one of those scenes that I longed to find from another artist somewhere but couldn't find it. So - why not do it myself, I thought? ;)

Why is this one not available as a print on red bubble? I was looking yesterday.

I think you made a wise decision to have the option of ordering photo prints in addition to the fine art print. Has anyone ordered the tights? I'm just curious. If so, I'd like to see the photos of someone wearing them? :)

Haha, actually you looked about 24 hours too early then, as I just put this one up today on Redbubble - here you go: www.redbubble.com/people/pxpri…

Can't say anyone has as of yet. I'm sure there're examples of people wearing leggings/tights on Redbubble elsewhere. I'll have to check and get back to you on that sometime. Not now though as it's 1.30 am and way past bed time ;)
