It's not the lenght of the sword. It's how you use it. And what sort of thingamajiks the old elvenmagicsmiths of old have done to the blades.

Don't pay him any attention Thorin, a cheese knife can be deadly, as I found out yesterday when I slashed off the tip of my thumb...although in hindsight maybe using it to nock some arrows for my costume wasn't the best idea I've ever had.
