Photography Troubleshooting: The Watermark FAQ
"How do I protect my photography and art in general?" ~Tahog (https://www.deviantart.com/tahog) "As Tahog (https://www.deviantart.com/tahog) pointed out, at least 1 journal per month makes it to the top of the list and is about stealing art. Sometimes this is something small such as posting a piece to facebook, other times you see hoards of pieces on a  website selling wallpapers or something similar. Regardless of how it happens, or where, it can hurt just as much to see your hard work disregarded and especially someone else profiting or taking credit. Protecting work is a huge deal for some people, and not for others. It depends entirely on your outlook - how you view your work and indeed
my deviantart story :D
My first time on deviantart was 7 long years ago, on my first account, silentsasuke (https://www.deviantart.com/silentsasuke) here is my first dA upload! :thumb37836144: I joined because I was playing on a site called gaiaonline and I saw people had included links to their deviantart accounts in their signatures in the forums, and it piqued my interest. Since I was beginning to draw art for people on there, I wanted to start a gallery too (aside from my photobucket account - I maxed out some albums with all my uploads lolololol) I was a mouse user during the whole time on that old account. I used programs like open canvas 3 and MSPaint, as well as my scanner for pen and pencil draw
Do's and Dont's of writing good Fanfiction
Alright, its confession time. From the age of eleven to thirteen, I read and wrote Harry Potter Fanfiction. I know, it's a shock, but remember that I was at that age! The writing was crappy; the reasons for writing base (all my friends will testify that Fanfiction gave birth to my severe crush on Sirius Black, which ended up with me writing a fic simply so I could include myself and my friends during the Marauder's schooldays…. Yeah… I know, Mary-Sues are not pretty) and the general storyline lacking in focus. Well, maybe it was the stress of the past few weeks, maybe it was the fact that now the original Potter series is over

Nigel usually shoots black and white.

Except when he doesn't.

Steve's suggestions on how to leave a good comment...
  1. Tell the artist what caught your eye, something your particularly liked or didn't like.
  2. Tell the artist something you think they could have done differently or better.
  3. Suggest an alternate title; it tells the artist what you saw in the image.
  4. Interact with the artwork, continue its story.
  5. Ask the artist how or why they did something.
  6. If nothing else, even "Ooh, pretty!" or "Oh, ick!" is a lot more information than no comment at all.
Enjoy!

FAQ #18: Who selects Daily Deviations and how are they chosen?

Because it's past time for white-haired white men to stand up and say it.

The Heidelberg Catechism , written in 1563, remains a warm-hearted and personal statement of the Christian faith. It begins thusly...

What is your only comfort in life and in death?

That I am not my own,
but belong--
    body and soul,
    in life and in death--
to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ.
He has fully paid for all my sins with his precious blood,
and has set me free from the tyranny of the devil.
He also watches over me in such a way
that not a hair can fall from my head
without the will of my Father in heaven:
in fact, all things must work together for my salvation.

Because I belong to him,
Christ, by his Holy Spirit,
assures me of eternal life
and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready
