After a few days in hospital, I had some time to reflect on my presence on DA and, more broadly, on the place social media has come to occupy in my life. I realised that I’m now simply saturated by the pace of a social network that requires you to be constantly on your toes: posts, notifications, blogs, DDs, groups… Over time, this constant need to stay alert has become more of a source of tension than pleasure. So I’ve decided to slowly step back from DA. I’ll simply stay in touch with a few Deviants I particularly appreciate, and I’ll continue to post a photo from time to time. More than anything, I want to rediscover a quieter relationship with photography, with DA, but also with the real world. There’s nothing dramatic about this decision: it’s simply a choice to step back and simplify things. Thank you to everyone I’ve shared part of this journey with. It’s been a real pleasure.
