We signed the paperwork with the Realtor Wednesday afternoon to formally put the house on the market. This shot is from Sunday morning, wandering around the yard and house taking remember-me photos.

nice light, can be eerie though...didn't know you were selling your home, I was pondering through online sales in upstate New York, Amherst looked very intriguing...what do you think? you are from up that way, am I correct?

Indeed, thanks.

The shot is from 2011. By September 2012 we were happily ensconced in our new and much smaller place, about five miles north, up by Lake Ontario.

Serene quiet, chiaroscuro and summer glow. Hints of melancholy...

Have you sold your house, yet?

Yes, yes, yes, and no. First deal died, the current deal has some difficulties but smells better.

gorgeous light. can't decide if the scene is peaceful or creepy. most likely peaceful, I've just been watching a lot of atmospheric horror movies lately

It all depends on what you think might be lurking in the shadows. :)

I was quite pleased with how well this came out. It's the September picture in the calendar.

Or just a quiet morning.

perhaps i equate quiet with sad

I generally pair it with peaceful. :)

peaceful to me is sunshine and no 2 cycle engines or lawn mowers running anywhere. In winter we have the snow blowers, spring into fall, lawn, then when the leaves fall, blowers and leaf vacuums.
