Why do I, as a Christian, support LGBTQ folks? Steven Tryon September 2023 Introduction Let us be clear about it, the Bible has awful things to say about same-sex relationships. In the Old Testament, men having sex with men or women with women was an abomination, punishable by death by stoning (as were many other things). In the New Testament letters, Paul does not argue that same-sex relationships are a bad thing, he simply assumes it. Same-sex relationships are unnatural, the sort of evil desires God hands people over to as a result of their disregarding the revelation of God in the world he created. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.
