Eternal Champions helped me climb out of a hellish personal hole back in 2008, where I rediscovered it, found out about the CD sequel, and spent that year collecting a new MD2/SCD2 console, an American copy of the game, and finally a European copy of the game.
The art I produced that year came from me sorting out my outlook on life as well as re-educating myself on human anatomy, etc. And those were already seen by the future EC3 dev team, before I shared my art work on the FB EC3 discussion group (that Trident redesign on my Instagram) and everything fell into place. igotaninterview
