Mary Magdalene

I finally finished drawing my version of Mary Magdalene from the Hazbin Hotel version. One of the many disciples of Jesus Christ.

Mary Magdalene, affectionately known as Maggie, was one of the first humans to receive a "second chance at heaven," long before Charlie even thought of opening a hotel. During her earthly life, she was marginalized, misunderstood, and judged... but she became one of the most loyal allies of Jesus, the heavenly prince.

After her death, Maggie didn't go directly to Heaven. She was sent to purgatory, where she was subjected to extreme emotional and spiritual trials. She eventually ascended to Heaven thanks to her fierce will for redemption and the fact that she knew "important people up there." Charlie sees Mary Magdalene as an example that sinners can be redeemed, but this is far from the truth for Charlie.
