no inner debate

before holding a door,

or a hand,

or a silence.

It moves through the body

like air through the lungs—

unnoticed, essential,

anchoring us to life

and to one another.

No fanfare.

No headlines.

Just a glance,

a nod,

a shared burden

lifted without ceremony.

In such a world,

strength is measured

by gentleness,

and wisdom speaks

in quiet acts

no one thinks to record.
