I am artist. It is who I am, not simply what I do. I am creative because that is the only way I know to make sense of the world inside of me and the world outside of me -- when those two worlds come together --- that is when beauty and joy and all that is best in life become one.
I began as a detailed drawer and illustrator while young and expanded into abstract painting, AI digital art, graphic design, and wood craft. Work of hands, care of soul --- I like to say. As I get older, I am finding that much of the creative work I do has become a spiritual practice.

So here is the deal. I do not believe in censorship and I am open to all comments. But If you post a comment and then block me or others from responding because you're too much of a wimp to receive responses to your comments, then I will be deleting your comments. If you want to post, fine. But you need to be willing to take responsibility for what you post by allowing others to respond. If you are not mature or courageous enough to receive comments to your words, then I must ask you, what are you afraid of? I must also ask you to keep your comments to yourself.
That said: The following is in response to d1699rus who blocked me from responding in regards to their comments re: The Golden Rule illustration:
I guess it's a shame then that while we were yet sinners Christ had mercy on us and gave his life for us? Man, am I glad Christ didn't have your attitude or we'd all be condemned. Because when you carry what you're saying out fully, that is where it takes you.
You have been shown mercy. So show some mercy. You have received salvation and grace which you did not deserve. So show some grace to those around you. You have been loved even when you were unlovable. Show some love. Geez, you act as if you or I deserve all this. God owes us nothing! God chose to be gracious and invite us into his kingdom.
So sex offenders can't be redeemed? saved? Who are you to put one sin over another? Gossip, hate, dissension- They are all the same in God's eyes.
You didn't take care of yourself. God took care of you. Give credit where credit is due. Everything we have and are is from God. Show some respect to the One who has provided for your needs and respond by being generous.
You act as if your salvation is something you are to hoard. Huh? You are saved to be light and salt to others. How are you being Jesus with skin on each and every day?
I have no clue about the artists you named, whether they are in hell or heaven. I am not the Judge. Neither are you. God is. I will say that based on what little I know of them and the lyrics of their music, they were a lot closer to the kingdom that some Christians I know.

While their comment is not easy for me to read, I do not condone censorship and so I won't delete it for now. The truth will out and all will be revealed in time. We must learn to disagree with honor and respect lest we perish together.
Yeah looking at your profile I can definitely see that you're just a liberal social justice warrior masquerading as a Christian.
And you fit the Bible with your social justice socialist Marxist agenda.
And I can see from your comments that you're just parroting the same old rhetoric of calling people who disagree with you "marxist" or "communist" or socialist" or "liberal" and believers of "social justice."
God is not Republican or Democrat.
God is not liberal or conservative.
God is LOVE.
You can write people off who disagree with you by trying to put them in small boxes, but I'd recommend stepping out of your echo chamber and maybe, just maybe, try listening to that still small voice that whispers - "if you've done it unto the least of these, you've done it unto me......."

Sorry to hear that. I find it interesting that often in these discussions there is a tendency to resort to name calling when one has nothing else to say. I have not judged you, I have simply stated facts and asked questions ..... and created art . . . with a message . . . . that has triggered a reaction . . . and has caused you to think . . . . whether you wish to admit it or not . . . . you're right . . . . you don't have to listen to anything I say . . . but I have found that we grow best when we are challenged . . .. I have appreciated our discussion . . . . I would encourage you find your own voice rather than mimicking the voice of someone who really could care less about you . . . call me what you wish . . . that's what people do to write off people they disagree with . . . it's no skin off my back . . . people have been trying to put me in a box for years . . .
