Taking from :iconangelcrusher: journal I’m going to give you the best of 2007, he listed the best of the best of last year and I thought it was a great idea, so I’m going to steal it… HA!  Feel free to do the same for your selves.  So I’m stealing it.  So here we go!

Best Movies of 2007:
Transformers:  One of the best movie adaptations made to date… Hands down.  The naysayers cried fowl but this was simply the coolest movie of the summer.  The Robots were kick ass, the cinematography great and the acting pretty damn good.  If you haven’t seen this film yet then you’re missing out.

August Rush:  This has to be the most heart warming story and movie of the year and the best of its kind in a long time.  With great music, great acting and a moving story this is truly a wonderful flick.

300:  Full of chest pounding, heart thumping, throat slashing action, this was one of the best films of the year.  Lacking sure in the plot, but makes up for it in action, cinematography and visuals.  Again if you haven’t seen this yet… get off your ass!

Knocked Up:  Probably the funniest movie of the year, this made my sides hurt and was truly a great watch.  A great adult comedy, which is a refreshing break from all the not so funny teen comedies that seem to be mass-produced in Hollywood these days.  With tons of laughs and great acting it’s a great flick.

Best T.V. Shows of 2007:
Burn Notice:  This little known show, airing on the USA network, is one of the best and most original things to hit the boob tube in a long time.  With some great acting, lots of clever laughs and a bit of action, this spy show shines.  You really must check it out.

Pushing Daises:  I had my qualms about this show when I first heard about it but after sitting down and watching it I have changed my mind totally.  This is a great show, who’s acting is great and plot lines very entertaining, but the crowning jewel has to be the dialog; some of the best dialog writing on TV right now, its just so snappy and well developed.

Heroes:  I’m a Heroes junkie, sure this season wasn’t as good as the first but its still some of the best stuff on the TV.  Great characters and great plots/ stories for the most part Heroes never disappoints.

Avatar the Last Airbender:  Yeah yeah, it’s a kid show… right?  No!  This is a great show and is often over looked; with a great story line and moving characters it’s a fantastic show.  And with fresh and aw-inspiring animation this show’s a great little gem.

Journeyman:  I also had my doubts about this show, it seemed to be a re-hashing of the old 1980’s Quantum Leap but its so much better and so much more intense.  The stories and concepts in this show rock and hit hard, so take a look at this one.

Best Video Game of 2007:
Assassins’ Creed:  Never has stabbing people been so much fun (at least for those of us without troubling mental issues).  Running about stabbing, clubbing, stealing and generally being a bad ass, Assassin’s Creed gives you all the action you need while not skimping on the story.

Most over-hyped, over pressed and generally sickening things or events of 2007:
The Iphone:  Talk about over hype and over saturation, I couldn’t go three minutes with out hearing some thing about this little piece of crap.  Its not worth all the hype it was given maybe its just me.

The Wii:  I’m not seeing what the big deal about this thing is; I truly can’t figure it out.  It some how is either beyond me or beneath me… I guessing it’s the later.  I haven’t played it yet but I am tired of hearing about it and kind of wish it would go a way.

Hurricane Karenna:  I know what your thinking, your thinking A) what…? He’s like three years off on this and B) How could this be a negative issue…?  Well that’s the point really, this damn storm was like 3 or 4 years ago and yet I can’t turn around with out hearing all the BS bout it.  If you or some one you know was directly involved or affected by this, then I feel for you, I really do; but if another B list celebrity comes at me for cash for it again I’m going to puke in my shoes.  I’m simply tired of hearing about it.

American Idol:  What a piece of crap this was this year… I mean wow.  Idol has gone down hill pretty fast and pretty steep as of late but this last year was amazingly stupid, poorly conceived and generally un-entertaining.  Maybe, just maybe… we as a nation and a society have beaten all there is out of this particular dead horse and should move on and that goes double for the piece of shit they call “Dancing with the Stars”!

What I’m looking forward to in 2008:
*Batman: The Dark Knight
*Ironman
*Cloverfield
*Chronicles of Narnia 2:
*Harold and Kumar 2:
*New Papa Roach Album
*New Ludacris Album

What I’m not looking forward to in 2008:
* The Presidential elections (sure I’m done with George W. Bush but I’m this will get annoying fast trust me)
* Turning 25

In other news :iconslimmmgoodie: and I have been nursing a group/ Club/ tag thing that I would like to share some light out.  Its called “Got Beef”  and can be found at :icongotbeef: .  It’s a fun thing to do, no pressure, just fun and it gives people a chance to maybe draw something they would normally not do and gets people working together if not in a violent kind’a way.  Here’s what me and Slimmm have done so far and go to :icongotbeef: to see what others have done.  The more people to jump in the better.
Got Beef by PDInk vs. BEEF THIS by SlimmmGoodie and I’ve started some Beef with :icondan-sch: FOX vs FOWL by PDInk and waiting with baited breath for him to respond.

As all ways Art Trades are open.

Here’s hoping that 2008 sucks less then 2007!

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings: Movie Review. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is the latest offering from Marvel and Disney and is the 25th film in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). The second of four Marvel movies hitting the theaters, if they stay open, in this clusterfuck of a 2021. The film is helmed by Destin Daniel Cretton the director of Short Term 12 and Just Mercy with Cretton also co-writing the screenplay and story with Dave Callaham. Relative newcomer and actual stock photo model Simu Liu leads a mostly Asian cast as Xu Shang-Chi with Awkwafina, Meng’er Zhang, Tony Leung, Michelle Yeoh and Fala Chen supporting to various degrees. Shang-Chi and the Legend of…. I’m not going to type that out every fucking time, is an 132 minute martial arts packed action movie more at home with movies like Crouching Tiger than Captain America. As per usual I’ll try to keep spoilers to a minimum going forward. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings follows well…

Justice League: Throne of Atlantis review

Mar 9, 2015
The latest from DC animation Studios is Justice League: Throne of Atlantis; the second excursion into the New 52 universe via animated feature. As with all DC animated features of late it’s beautifully visually realized but sadly this one seems to fall flat in terms of Story and Plot. The following review may contain minor spoilers so readers beware.  Justice League: Throne of Atlantis picks up a few months after the events of the previous film Justice League: War.  The members of the recently formed League are still trying to work together and would much prefer to go solo and see the League as only a publicity stunt. As the different...

Kingsmen: The Secret Service Review

Feb 23, 2015
Did your wife or girlfriend insist that you go see Fifty Shades of Grey for Valentine’s Day? Poor sucker. The Wife and I went out and saw Kingsmen: The Secret Service because she’s a down ass chick.  It’s smooth, it’s funny, it’s violent, it’s unapologetically British and it’s definitely totally Dench. Kingsmen: The Secret Service is a non-super hero comic book adaptation spy extravaganza from director Mathew Vaughn and comic book genius Mark Millar. The following review may contain some minor spoilers so readers beware.    The Kingsmen are a Kabul of clandestine English gentlemen who so happen to be the world’s foremost purveyors of f...

Taken 3 Review

Jan 23, 2015
Taken 3. It's the first movie I've gotten to see in 2015 and well I just hope this year gets better. Let me first say Taken is one of my Favorite action films of the last 10 years... its a wonderfully brutal action movie that no one really saw coming. Now let me say Taken 2 was, by my account, Stupid and witless and poor beyond reason and expectation. So why did I pay for Taken 3? Because its January, which is widely considered the toilet bowl of movie seasons, and if you're going to play hookie from work to watch a movie and eat hot wings you don't want to go to Selma or American Sniper. In retrospect probably should have seen either on...
