Title: Lanie
Subtitle: "The Brave Lynx-cub"

Plot: A lynx-cub named, Lanie is born on the eve of his father's death. His father, Yurie, accidentally gets killed by a clan of deer-hunter, as he is on his way back home from hunting. The group of hunters, interested in the carcass of their hunted-game brings Yurie's body along with them to their head-hunter, William S. Franklin, CEO of his company, "The Extravagant Deer Game of Canada". Franklin ultimately becomes more fascinated in lynx and is looking to hunt more of the endangered species in search of its rare meat and coat for his company to sell. Franklin eventually redevelops his company into one that specializes in lynx-hunting, even changing his firm's name from, "The Extravagant Deer Game of Canada" to "The Extravagance of Rare Lynx Finds in Canada". After learning about the downfall of her husband, Guthrie, Lanie's mother, fell to tears. As the young Lanie becomes older, he makes a few friends and enemies with some of the creatures in the wilderness. Some of the characters are Rigo the caterpillar, Renee the bluebird, Shane the buck, Daniel the brown bear, Nicholaus the Siberian tiger, Sarah the owl, Porgie the opossum, and Phil the platypus, including his nemesis, Reiley, the gray-wolf, who becomes jealous of Lanie due to the fact that he belongs to an endangered community, and his evil side-kick, Trevor the vulture. Reiley and Trevor are always aiming to get Lanie involved in their no good deeds.
Lanie gets the first-hand experience from his mother, Guthrie, of how to hunt and to avoid human predators at all costs. When Lanie finally grows older, he seeks to find vengeance for the death of his late father by planning an ambush for the next time the hunters would arrive. Meanwhile, Reiley hears of the newly-established escape route that Lanie has created for his community and plans to go after his family to kill them, himself. When the head-hunter, CEO, William S. Franklin arrives with the hunters, this time, he goes towards Lanie's community; the den to which he belongs, and begins an attack. Luckily, the endangered lynx community, including his mother, Guthrie, had followed her son's planned escape route. While Lanie's lynx community was preparing to escape the route, Reiley gets in the way of their escape. He is then confronted by Daniel, who leashes out and attacks him. Lanie's mother and the rest of the lynx community were able to escape successfully eventually meeting up with Lanie upon exiting the escape route. Meanwhile, Lanie, his fellow friends, as well as the lynx who escaped from the den all returned to finally capture the hunter's game and ambush them. In the end, Reiley dies from being thrown off a cliff by the severely injured Daniel, many lives were saved, the lynx community and the rest of the wilderness were saved from the human predators by Lanie, who finally got what he wanted by seeking vengeance for his father.
