Hi, my name is Paul...
I’m a graphic designer and illustrator from Dublin, Ireland. I completed my degree in Visual Communication at DIT in June 2010 achieving first class honours and also being awarded ‘Best Visual Communication Student’. In April 2010 I was awarded a Merit from the International Society of Typographic Designers for my environmental awareness piece, ‘Consider This’. My work has been featured in quite a number of publications including Computer Arts magazine, PAGE magazine, IDN magazine, Deviant Art and Typography Served. My work was awarded winner of the 'New Media' category in the 2010 IDI Graduate Awards.
Prior to starting my degree, I worked from 2003-2006 as full-time in-house graphic and web designer at music company Coca-Cola Blastbeat. My roles included designing promotional material for events, company branding and identity, web design and also some PHP programming. In 2010 I completed an internship with Dynamo design agency in Dublin. I have worked in (and continue to work freelance for) Dublin digital design agency 'The Creative District' as a digital designer. My roles there included branding, web design, motion design and illustration on major projects.
In addition to my in-house and studio work, I have also been working freelance since 2005. I have worked for a wide range of clients accross various industries.
