Spike is okay, given the circumstances.
In "Lollipop Chainsaw", Juliet chopped off her boyfriend's head to keep him from turning into a zombie after he got bit. His head is still alive and talking, despite the lack of a thorax.

The skirt I struggled with. I didn't have a good reference to work with so I just winged it the best I could.

Guess that settles it then. I'll save my pennies and wait for the next major Newegg sale.
Probably not your expertise, but can a Surface Pro handle Blender by chance? I recently learned of its Grease Pencil function and I'm amazed by its potential, if it can handle it. Also, would it be wiser to go higher or lower end with the models?
I'm really out of practice.

And I mean REALLY out of practice.

I used to do work in Photoshop and Illustrator on a Hackintosh but after it kicked the bucket, as well as some serious depression and adapting to a full-time job, I just fell off the wagon. I've farted a few attempts to get back in, including taking a sketchbook with me to work, but I'm thinking I need more. That's where tablets come in.

I have an old screen-less intuos, but I don't think it's going to cut it for me anymore: I need something direct. At the same time, my 6-year old laptop is on its last legs. So I'm thinking a Surface Pro. I still have an unused commercial version of Sai/Manga Studio(?) (providing the key still works) I can install, as well as Photoshop. Maybe a few other programs if need be. But it seems like a good start.

Thoughts?
